Lovely Lola Sanchez finds her quiet life in pastoral Florida turned upside down when Northern troops seize her home. The Yankee officers move in and make themselves at home while soldiers camp on the grounds. With their father imprisoned and their mother an invalid, the sisters who were raised as genteel ladies, suddenly find themselves cooking and cleaning for the Yankee invaders.
Outraged and exhausted the sisters vent their rage to family friend Mrs. Boyd who wisely counsels them to listen carefully to the talk of the men at the dinner table. Soon the sisters are pouring brandy, lighting cigars and spying! The officers make plans to attack the Confederate camp! But how can the sisters get word to the Rebels. That’s when spunky Lola, the youngest sister, makes her dangerous plan. She slips out of the house at midnight and gallops on her beloved horse through the forests and across the river to warn the General of the impending attack!
Will she make it in time, is she captured, will she return safely home?? Please join us for this true story of heroism!
